Time for a new ticker

I had my first (very belated) appointment yesterday.

So officially I am 9w 3d today, which is still possibly too early to get all excited and put a ticker up, but I couldn't resist. It seems like such a long time ago I announced on here that I was pregnant, considering I'm still not into the safe zone yet.

Anyway, things went well with the check-up, and 5000yen later I came home with a huge smile on my face, an ultrasound picture and paperwork so I can get my 母子手帳.

I absolutely love my clinic, it is only very small, and needless to say I am a well-known patient (for obvious reasons, as well as the fact I have been there SO many times over the last few years) and the reception staff, midwives, nurses (and doctor of course) all remember me and were so genuinely excited to see me sitting in the waiting room I had no less than 10 staff members come up to me and ask how the kids were (some of them even remembered the kids' names!) and give their congratulations. It really made my day, and just thinking about it now has me smiling again.lol So yeah, I love my clinic!

The last week or so has not been so good for morning sickness, throwing up on average 3-4 times a day, but even so things are a lot easier than the last two times. A big thank you goes out to those who are helping me through this, it really is much appreciated.

Long time no post

It's been a while since I last posted, I'm kind of glad I could blog every day last month because it would have been an impossible challenge this month!lol

Things are ok, not great, but not too bad.

Cooking is still a problem, I just can't seem to get into it.
Trying to think of meals is my greatest challenge at the moment, there are just too many things I don't feel up to cooking or eating...

I've been having cravings? for Western type food, which is a change from the norm and the kids aren't impressed with the lack of rice recently. I guess morning sickness is challenging for all family members.lol

A day of thanks

Don't you love home delivery services?
I know I do.

And moreso now that they are my ray of hope in being able to have a (relatively?) well fed family for the days the cook goes into hibernation!lol

Seriously though, I can not recommend these services enough.
Thank you thank you thank you to whoever invented them!lol
You've made the world a much better place to live in!!

Spoke too soon

Well although it's not as bad as the last two times (yet!and hopefully it won't be!), morning sickness has started...
Thrown up twice already today and feeling very tired.
I'm trying everything I can, and I know I have the support of lots of people out there, but if I'm a bit quiet around here, you know why.

Settling down

Things have started to settle down a bit now thank goodness.
I've been sleeping with him in his bed for the last few nights (thanks tj-injapan, the 100cm bed really was a great idea!) and that seems to be helping a lot. Things aren't perfect, but we're in a lot better place now.

And this is the 30th day posting since February 1st so that means I'll be crossing the blogging every day for a month off my list! Yay!
And thanks to those who have been reading!lol

Hit the jackpot?

I think we might have progress.
Well maybe not progress as such, as we are still having 'accidents', but I think I might have a better idea as to why this is happening. I don't really think it is a jealousy thing, so I've been trying to think of other reasons.

Thanks achan, what you said about B remembering me collapsing has stricken a chord.

Yesterday B was reading an Anpanman book which has an ambulance and fire engine in it, and he wanted me to read it to him over and over again. Then today he went straight for the same book again and I casually asked, "Hey B, do you remember when Mummy went in an ambulance?". He replied "覚えてるよ!" so I went a bit further to try and see if he really did remember and asked him what he was doing when Mummy went in the ambulance and to hospital. He then said "Poppyと一緒に遊んでた" (I was playing with Poppy). Which he was of course. If you remember it happened when my parents were here, and that's exactly what happened.

So this afternoon when A went down for her nap I filled up the bath (unusual for us to get in so early in the day) and we got in together and after a while he said out of the blue (quite happily) "赤ちゃんが来たね!赤ちゃんに待ってるよと言ったよ。". Which means something like 'the baby is here now aren't they! I told them I'm waiting for them.' So I pushed it a bit more and asked 'If you told them you're waiting for them why don't you want them to come?'. His reply?

"Mummy が病気になるから".

He said a few more things that lead me to believe he actually remembers me throwing up when pregnant with A, along with the ambulance trip.

Ok, I think I've hit the jackpot, don't you?
Now I just have to figure out what to do about it...

And just as an aside, no matter how much I speak to B in English he always replies in Japanese, hence the weird conversations above.lol
