Well as you would have guessed from the title we made it back in one piece, and I am SOOOOOOO exhausted that I don't even know why I'm trying to blog already.
So I think for now a rating post might be a good way to sum things up.
- Flight 1 8/10 (No major problems except for takeoff when I was trying to convince B he needed his seatbelt on for more than 10 seconds at a time.)
- Flight 2 5/10 (Night flight, both kids slept no more than an hour each, at different times of course, leaving poor Mummy with zero sleep. B got motion sickness, moaned for about 5 hours then proceeded to throw up non-stop for the last 3 and a half hours.)
- Being in Oz 10/10
- Constant help with the kids 10/10
- Flight 3 2/10 (Day flight but lights turned out nearly the whole way. Read: everyone else asleep except for the kids who think it is play time. Maybe one hour of sleep for B before throwing up again for the last hour and a half. Despite taking some kiddy meds. A had a total of 30 minutes sleep, every time she was about to go off something would disturb her and I'd be back to square one. 2 overtired kids refusing to sleep, a quiet and dark plane, and a stressed out Mummy)
- Stopover hotel 9/10
- Waiting at airport for flight home 1/10 (Both kids overtired and wanting Mummy to carry them. Even B, who is always fine with just holding my hand, was nutting out MAJORLY before immigration. He HAD to be picked up. Didn't matter that A was trying to run away every single time I put her down or let go of her hand for the split second I had to so I could pick him up. No matter how I tried I couldn't carry both of them. Ended up having a back pack, another bag, carrying A (who was refusing to walk) on my side and having B somehow attached to me like a koala on my front (on top of 24 week bump) hanging on for dear life as I walked through. Stayed like this for nearly 10 minutes. No better once inside because the playground we went to was under repair. I'd asked the lady at information where the closest one was so was so not impressed. Neither were the kids. Other things happened but I think I'll stop ranting here.lol
- Flight 4 9/10 (Both kids asleep after 10 minutes)
